I'm no critic... I just now what I like and I know
what's entertaining.
In 1998 the American Film Institute released their
picks for the top 100 American films. Granted all the films they
picked were historic and ground-breaking. But with films like
"Gone With the Wind" and "My Fair Lady" not all of
then are entertaining. Here are some of the essential movies that
were on the list. If you don't have at least half of these in your
collection you are dead to me.

Inspired by William Randolph Hearst and parodied by Charles
Montgomery Burns, Orson Welles starred and directed in this 1941
film. Everyone must see this movie and take my advice and
add it to your collection. |

Dustin Hoffman is superb playing a boy just out of
college that lacks guidance. This movie is a must for all adolescence.
It also has probably the greatest movie soundtrack with historic
songs from Simon and Garfunkel. Not to mention Anne
Bancroft's portrayal of Mrs. Robinson. |

I know what you're think... Dumb Musical... but this
movie is really good. It is a very humorous look at the
transition of silent films to "talkies." Fact:
They add milk to rain in movies to make it show up better...

When I first watched this movie I knew little about
it besides the Simpson's' episode where Homer goes to the Insane
asylum. I was blown away by the magnificent acting from the
star studded cast in their earliest roles. Check it out and
do yourself a favor and but it. |

I love it so much. I do not know where to
begin. I was blown away by this film. It is just a
purely funny film with great acting, writing and directing.
It does not get much better than this movie. |

This movie is not recommended for the faint of
heart. It is considered one of the most controversial movies
in history. Thought of as extremely racist it's the
"Gone With the Wind" for the guys out there. So if
your women makes you watch "Gone With the Wind:, make her
watch "The Birth Of A Nation." |
